Welcome to my site!

I was appointed by the Supreme Court of Illinois, on February 2, 2010,as a full Circuit Cook County Judge of the Tenth Judicial Sub Circuit. I am currently assigned to the Chancery Divison after being assigned to the First Municipal Division where I presided over traffic matters, misdemeanors, felony preliminary hearings, and performed marriages and civil unions.

I am a lifelong resident of Chicago, and have lived in the Tenth Judicial Sub Circuit
most of my life. I'm a graduate of Saint Hilary Grammar School, Lane Technical High
School, the University of Illinois at Chicago and The John Marshall Law School.
Serving the public for more than 19 years as both an Assistant Cook County State's
Attorney and as a Judge, I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Court.
In recent years, I have lectured in numerous seminars presented by the Chicago Bar
Association, The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, The Illinois State Police, The
Chicago Police Department and The U.S. Postal Service.

A parishioner of the Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Chicago since
childhood, I have served as a Parish Council member for more than two decades,
and as a member of the Executive Committee. I am also an active member of many
professional and cultural organizations.

I live with my wife and my two children in the same neighborhood in which I grew up.
I have always strived to be a thoughtful, even-tempered judge, who is always
respectful of those who appear before me in court.

I ask for your support on March 20, 2012, to elect me to the position for which I was appointed.

Sincerely,

Judge Tony
Hon. Anthony C. "Tony" Kyriakopoulos
